Matia & Rebecca Argueta Besides loving on all of the precious children that come through our doors, Matia and I direct the daily operations of the center. Several years ago, I began to envision and start the process of founding Little Hands of Hope. Matia and I met in the middle of the project. Not only have I fallen in love with El Salvador, but also with this man who has a heart for his country and for the children. Matia has been a wonderful role model to many children who don't know their own father, and it is precious to watch the children enjoy him. His Salvadoran perspective has also been a wonderful advantage to our efforts here. The work here can be challenging and difficult, but our comfort is in knowing that the end results of our weak endeavors are in God's all-powerful hands! We are very excited to see what the Lord will do with these little ones in El Salvador!
"Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not turn from it" Proverbs 22:6
This verse from Proverbs is the foundation for my involvement with Becca, Matia and Little Hands of Hope. As a board member, I have the privilege of watching this beautiful God centered mission take precious children of God and form them with the greatest of loving care. Each child is a treasure and in a world where they are far too often left on the streets to scrap for food, love and attention, their refuge is now in the loving arms of Becca, Matia, the staff at Little Hands of Hope...and Jesus.

"Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, "Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?" And the King will answer them, "Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to Me."
